Anyways, they have great smoothies, 4 or 5 different flavours and they are so big they come in 2 glasses!!! The Huevos Rancheros here were horrible. The potatoes were extremely greasy and the sauce that was on top of the eggs was like watered down tomato soup. The bill was 10,500 colones which is more expensive than Claritas. I would have the smoothies here but not the Huevos Rancheros. this place gets a big thumbs down!!!!
I am also a huevos rancheros fanatico and I totally agree with your review. I am amazed that this place is so popular. The owner apparently doesn't give a shit because he has repeatedly been told that his huevos suck and he needs to fix them. Costa Ricans generally make huevos rancheros without a crispy tortilla and never offer beans. Since I have lived here for 16 years, I have had many restaurants here prepare my huevos rancheros "Tico" style, instructing them to make a crispy tortilla, covered with gallo pinto, then the eggs, then the sauce. Its not the real thing but its better than the alternatives I have had. The best huevos rancheros I have eaten were at Jaco Taco. Incredibly expensive but the portions are huge.
